Being Muslim: a Practical Guide to Faith and Practice

No background knowledge is required and all questions are welcomed.
Being Muslim is a class that will cover the essential aspects of Islam from the most basic level. Together, in a relaxed and friendly environment, we will cover a wide variety of subjects that will give learners not simply a collection of facts, but an understanding of the vision and spirit of Islam.
Topics will include:
-The purpose of life and why we are here
- Why God sent prophets
- How to learn more about Islam
- Destiny and fate
- Basic Muslim belief
- How to pray and fast
- Morality in everyday life
- The life of the Prophet Muhammad
- An introduction to the Quran
- Developing good character
- Islam in daily life
- The Islamic calendar
